## Where this fits

Wikipedia covers a lot of the same ground, and covers it well — but a
general-audience encyclopedia stays safe for work by design, and describes
practices more than it explains them. That is the right call for Wikipedia. It
still leaves room for a reference written without those constraints.

Nothing here is selling anything: no shop, no sponsors, no affiliate links, no
ads, no accounts. The site is static and costs almost nothing to run, so there
is no revenue to protect and no reason for an entry to say anything other than
what is accurate.
